ThunderBolt Desktop Machine 3rd Party Stand and Base Options

Preface: This article covers some suggested stand options for the BOLT Desktop Laser. These stands are not applicable for the Bolt Plus 24 or larger machines.

30w Desktop Laser with RF that does not come with a base.

Thunderbolt Housing Dimensions

WxDxH: 925mm x 690mm x 460mm (36.5"x27"x18")

Weight: 77kg , ~170lb

Feet Spacing: centers 835mm x 560mm (32.9" x 22") with ~50mm (2") diameter feet. Feet may add ~20mm (.8") to Height. Feet use a m6x1.0mm flat head bolt to attach to the machine base.

1. Adjustable stand height
2. Planned height of top of Lid of Thunderbolt to match Odin 22 (Approx 42" to lid on Odin 22 which means the Bolt stand table height should be around 24-30")
3. Planned height in comparison to some of the Nova 24 Stand Options (Approx 53" to top of Nova 24 with a 27" table would put the Thunderbolt Stand height at 35" since the Bolt is 200mm shorter)

• 5- 2"x4"x8' Pine Boards
• 1 sheet of 1/2" ply or osb
• 4- 2" wheels (locking) with a 90 lb rating each — Link
• 16- 1" lag screws that will fit the holes of the wheels
• 1 small box of 2.5" blue screws from Kreg. Link
• Paint if you desire.

• 41" work height, likely way too tall

• Some storage below, but the shelf is minimal

Pros:

• Variable height from 26" to 42" to meet the users needs for height and preferences
• Can be sourced locally
• 300lb weight capacity is enough for the Bolt

Cons:

• Cost is kinda high for the base but adding drawers and width comes pretty cheap
• At 24" Depth it is just enough to put the Bolt on, the front and rear edges of the machine will hang off the table
