The Only Laser Solution You Need

From Firearm Serialization to Tactical Gear Production

Cut Kydex. Engrave firearm receivers. Mark equipment. Process gear. One laser platform does it all—without the $80K price tag.

Cutting-Edge Technology in Defense

The tactical and defense industry operates under constraints that few manufacturers understand: ATF compliance requirements, MOLLE system precision, material safety regulations, and unforgiving production timelines. You need cutting-edge laser technology that’s simultaneously affordable, reliable, and compliant. Thunder Laser brings 15+ years of industrial laser expertise directly into the tactical ecosystem.

Whether you’re a Cerakote shop marking receivers, a holster maker cutting Kydex panels, a first responder equipment manufacturer, or a military supplier handling MIL-STD-130 compliance, we’ve engineered solutions that fit your budget, your workflow, and your regulatory landscape.

Choosing Thunder Laser for Tactical & Defense

ATF-Compliant Firearm Serialization (>0.003" Depth)

Our Aurora MOPA fiber lasers deliver precise, consistent engraving depth that meets 27 CFR 478.92 requirements. No guesswork. No compliance audits. Military-grade repeatability at every run.

Replace your $80K blade cutter with a Nova Plus system (starting at $8K) that cuts Kydex faster, cleaner, and with zero tool changes. Your holster makers and gear cutters stay in-house. Turnaround drops from 2-3 weeks to 2-3 days.

MOPA fiber technology gives you millisecond pulse-width control—essential for marking coated surfaces without heat distortion. Create high-contrast markings on Cerakote, anodized aluminum, and stainless steel simultaneously.

Federal contractors need permanent, machine-readable identification. Our fiber lasers exceed MIL-STD requirements for durability, contrast, and legibility on metals, composites, and anodized surfaces.

Replace $80K blade cutters with a $25K Nova Plus 63. Replace $30K-$80K TYKMA systems with a $5K-$15K Aurora MOPA. Run both CO2 cutting AND fiber marking on a dual-laser Titan system ($20K-$50K) instead of maintaining two separate machines.

Direct access to engineers who understand the tactical supply chain. No overseas support queues. No language barriers. Just American expertise backing American manufacturers.

FAQs

Is it safe to cut Kydex with a CO2 laser?

Yes—Kydex is a thermoplastic acrylic-PVC blend and is safe to laser cut. However, true PVC is NOT safe and releases toxic hydrochloric acid gas. Always confirm material composition with your supplier.

Our MOPA fiber lasers consistently achieve 0.004-0.006″ depth, exceeding the 0.003″ minimum required by 27 CFR 478.92. Depth is fully adjustable for your specific application.

Absolutely. Nova Plus systems excel at cutting natural fibers. Canvas, waxed canvas, nylon webbing, and leather are all standard materials for tactical gear manufacturers.
Laser engraving exceeds MIL-STD-130 durability requirements. The marking is permanent, machine-readable, and won’t fade or wear like paint or ink-based marking.
A Nova Plus 63 CO2 system is $25K and cuts faster than blade cutters while also engraving. You save $55K upfront, eliminate blade change downtime, and get versatility blade cutters can’t match.
It depends on your workflow. If you only cut soft goods, Nova Plus handles it. If you only mark metal, Aurora handles it. If you do both—cutting Kydex and engraving receivers—consider a Titan dual-laser system for maximum flexibility.
