Preface: This article covers the possible solutions to a Water Error Work Paused alarm message that shows up on the Laser Machine Controller Screen when you try to start a job.
LCD panel shows the following information: Water Error Work Paused
1. Water chiller is not turned on
Solution:
Please turn on the water chiller before power on the machine, like below.
On newer machines where the chiller is powered from the machine, there are 3 power switches required to turn the chiller on. The local chiller switch as shown above must be on (usually left on all the time) and then the MAIN and Laser Switches on the laser machine must be on as well.
Turn both these switches ON. (they are shown in the OFF position)

2. Chiller Alarm Signal cable is not connected or Loose
Check that the Alarm Signal cable is installed and tight at both the Chiller and Machine connections.

4. Chiller is Audibly Alarming and Beeping
5. Check to See if the Controller Input is off
If the chiller is not alarming but the Controller says there is a Water error, check that LED 9 is ON for Channel 1 laser tubes.
What do the Red LED Lights on the Ruida Controller Mean for Nova and Odin Lasers
If LED 9 is off but the chiller is not alarming and the cable checks show that the contact for "everything is ok" then the wiring from the Ruida to the Alarm port need to be checked.
Refer to the appropriate schematics for your machine, here is an example:

And Check the GND and WP1 signal wires to the alarm socket on the back of the machine.
